Election Day: Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Casey Knowles, the young actress playing one of the sleeping children in Hillary Clinton's famous "3 AM" commercial has cut another campaign ad - this one for Barack Obama, whom she is supporting:

Barack Obama talked earlier this week about bridging divides and bringing people together to solve our common problems. That's not just the theme of this campaign -- it's been the theme of his life's work. . . video time 6:34 and well worth the watch.

When Barack came back to Chicago after law school, he led a voter registration drive to attract people to the political process. Watch this short video about Barack's voter registration efforts and do something to help register new voters in the upcoming states.

Registering voters and bringing more voices into the political process is what this campaign is all about. In the ten contests left in this race, we have an opportunity to build a base of support that will lead Democrats to victory up and down the ballot in November. But more importantly, we have the chance to transform our party and our politics.

By bringing in new voters and encouraging voters who have gotten fed up to get involved again, we can move beyond the divisive and petty tactics that have dominated our politics for far too long. We can send a message that we're ready for something new -- something positive that brings us together around a shared goal of a better future for all Americans.

You can help build our movement and create a lasting change in our party and in our country.

Pastor Wright - Redux - Unedited video shows a different story

There's been alot of discussion about Pastor Jeremiah Wright, and much further discussion about the effects of his oratory on Barack Obama. I took the time tonight to sit down and watch this "unedited by the media" version of Pastor Wright's speech after 9-11, and I have to tell you, I don't disagree a bit with what the man states in this sermon. I strongly encourage you to spend 15 minutes and review it for yourself: two videos that will allow you to see what really was said.

Poll: Majority Doesn't Believe Obama Shares Wright's Views

A new Fox News poll, the first major poll taken since Barack Obama's big speech on race relations, shows that the effect of the Jeremiah Wright flap might not be so bad after all.

By a 57%-24% margin, registered votes do not believe that Obama shares Wright's controversial views. The internals show only 17% of Democrats saying Obama shares Wright's ideas, along with 20% of independents and 36% of Republicans.

Fox also asked respondents whether they had doubts about Obama because of his association with Wright. The results: 35% Yes, 54% No, with the numbers standing at 26%-66% for Democrats, 27%-61% among independents, and 56%-33% with Republicans.

Have you wondered where Obama attacks came from and why they dominated the news?

There are people who believe that FOX News is a Republican mouthpiece, not a legitimate news organization because of the way they slant the news - expecially about Barack Obama. Real news organizations and viewers should reject FOX's smears of Barack Obama, not parrot them and distract Americans from the pressing issues of the day. Watching the video below might be helpful in understanding and confronting the distortions some news media spread about this fine candidate. Film director Robert Greenwald just released a short video called FOX Attacks Obama: Part 2 which shows how it happens. It is, at least, one point of view.

Be aware and able to respond.
