On the way to Lake Nakuru we saw many sights of how people lived.
. .
Few grocery stores. The open markets (and they are everywhere) are the place to shop.

Typical small town street scene.

It is not uncommon to see animals walking in any town.
. .
Two more scenes in town

U-Haul
. . .
People getting on a matatu or waiting for one going to where they want to go. A hillside in the country.

Cattle are VERY important. With no truck to haul them, just walk them along the side of the road.

Several homes - many cattle
.
There was a large salt lake that has provided salt for hundreds of years. Here they sell bags of salt along the highway.
Then we entered Lake Nakuru Park
. . .
We saw everyting from our first striped skink to our first lion.
. ..
Three warthogs came down to drink from the streem . . . . . . . . . . . A Black Rhinoceros crossed in front of our van.
. . .
There were a lot of Olive Baboons here and other places as well.

Sometimes they climb trees
. . .
This was the first hippo we saw . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There were lots of spotted hyaenas here

Lake Nakuru had many birds, including these flamingos

Great white pelicans and a few marabou storks
. .
Two flying birds - Great White Pelican . . . . . . . . . . . and a . . . . . . . . . Marabou Stork

We could not figure out what kind of animals these were.
